The Environmental and Building Administration is looking for an engaged building permit officer for a temporary position of about one year.

We are looking for someone who wants to work with community building and contribute to a legally secure and efficient building permit process. As a building permit officer with us, you will be part of a competent team that works with building permits, preliminary decisions, and supervision according to the Planning and Building Act (PBL).

The position is a temporary one as one of our employees will be on parental leave for an extended period. The temporary position is expected to last for about one year with the possibility of extension.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

In this role, you will handle building permit cases, preliminary decisions, and notifications according to the Planning and Building Act. You will provide advice and service to the public, businesses, and internal stakeholders and be an important support in matters related to construction and regulations. The work also involves participating in the development of efficient and legally secure processes within the unit. You will collaborate closely with colleagues, committees, and other administrations to create coordinated and professional authority operations.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with relevant education in community building, architecture, construction technology, or a related field. You have good knowledge of the Planning and Building Act, and it is an advantage if you have experience in handling building permits. To thrive in this role, you need to be communicative, have a service-oriented approach, and appreciate meeting people. The work also involves travel within the municipality, which means a valid driver's license (B) is required.
